Propane Services for Homes, Farms, and Businesses

Harden Bros provides propane delivery and services for residential, agricultural, and commercial customers across East Central Iowa. Our team is ready to work with you to understand your needs and provide dependable service you can rely on.

Residential Propane

Residential propane delivery is available for homes, shops, and garages. Service includes tank setup, installation, trenching, and system hook-up to get your service started.


We offer 120, 250, 500, and 1,000 gallon tanks for residential use. Tanks are available for rent, and we also service customer-owned tanks as long as they meet current safety requirements.


Customers can choose automatic fill service or monitor their tank and call when a fill is needed. For will-call service, we ask for at least two business days’ notice to schedule delivery. After-hours or emergency deliveries may be subject to an additional charge.


Tank monitors are available to help track usage and schedule deliveries, and there is no charge for this service.


We’re ready to work with your schedule and do our best to meet your timing needs while maintaining reliable service.

Commercial Propane

Harden Bros supports local businesses with propane solutions for a variety of applications. We provide propane for facilities, temporary job sites, and ongoing business operations.


Cylinder delivery and exchange is available for businesses such as factories, gas stations, and grocery stores. Temporary tanks can also be set for construction sites to help keep projects moving.


Deliveries are coordinated around your schedule to help keep operations running without interruption.

Agricultural Propane

We provide propane services for farms and agricultural operations throughout the area. This includes grain drying, livestock operations, and other on-site needs.


During grain drying season, our team extends service hours to support our customers. This includes evenings and weekends when needed to help keep operations running.



We understand how important timing is during the season and work closely with you to plan deliveries and keep your operation supplied.

Cylinder Refills & Exchange

Cylinder refills are available at both locations, with exchange services also offered in Iowa City. Drop-offs are welcome anytime during business hours.



All cylinders must pass a safety inspection before we can proceed. For the fastest service, we recommend dropping yours off at the beginning or end of the day.
